As of June 5, 2025, high school graduation ceremonies continue at EagleBank Arena on George Mason University’s Fairfax Campus. These events, which began in late May, will run through Monday, June 16. Each day features up to three ceremonies, contributing to significant traffic flows in and around campus.
To ensure public safety and smooth event operations, a substantial police presence will be in place for each graduation ceremony. Officers will manage crowd control and direct traffic to support orderly access to parking areas and venue entrances. All attendees and drivers are urged to follow instructions from law enforcement personnel, particularly regarding traffic flow, pedestrian crossings, and designated entry and exit points.
George Mason University advises all faculty, staff, and students to anticipate delays from morning through evening hours. To avoid congestion near EagleBank Arena, the university recommends using the general permit areas in the Rappahannock Parking Deck or Field House lots. The Shenandoah Parking Deck will provide limited overflow parking on levels 4 and 5 during weekday ceremonies.
