Governor Ralph Northam announced today on social media that “PUA payments are on the way” and the Virginia Employment Commission is working to “reinstate the PEUC (Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation) program”

Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA)
Benefits for self-employed, part-time workers, gig workers, and all other workers who are left out of traditional state UI.
Benefits extended for an additional 11 weeks through March 13, 2021
Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC)
Benefits for workers who have used up their regular state UI benefits get an extra 13 weeks of UI.
